Mount Eerie in Portland

Mount Eerie is the recording and performance project of American songwriter and producer Phil Elverum, who adopted the name after ending the Microphones project in 2003. His work moves through lo-fi folk, indie rock and experimental music; key albums include No Flashlight, Wind’s Poem and A Crow Looked at Me, a stark account of the death of his wife, artist and musician Geneviève Castrée. In 2017, Mount Eerie toured behind A Crow Looked at Me, presenting its grief-centred songs as a spare solo performance. Elverum followed with 2018 concerts focused on Now Only, which continued the autobiographical narrative of A Crow Looked at Me.
