MUCC in Tokyo

MUCC is a Japanese rock band formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. Emerging from the visual kei scene, the group plays alternative rock and metal shaped by punk, grunge and electronic elements. Its best-known work includes the albums Kuchiki no Tō, Gokusai and Shion, as well as “Nirvana,” the opening theme for the anime Inu x Boku SS. MUCC performed at Wacken Open Air in 2005, an early landmark in the band’s touring outside Japan. In 2008, the group joined the North American edition of Taste of Chaos, extending that international live history through a multi-act tour. The band marked its 20th anniversary in 2017 with two concerts at Nippon Budokan.
