About Nation of Language
Nation of Language is an American synth-pop trio formed in Brooklyn in 2016. The band plays synth-led new wave and post-punk, and is known for the albums Introduction, Presence, A Way Forward and Strange Disciple, as well as songs including “September Again,” “Across That Fine Line” and “Weak in Your Light.”
In 2021, Nation of Language opened for LCD Soundsystem during the latter’s Brooklyn Steel residency. The trio later toured North America and Europe behind A Way Forward and followed the release of Strange Disciple with another headline run through clubs and theatres.
Their festival history includes Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
