Neil Young in Berwyn

Neil Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Toronto in 1945, whose music encompasses folk, country rock and hard-edged electric rock. He was a member of Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young before establishing a solo catalogue that includes After the Gold Rush, Harvest and Rust Never Sleeps, plus the songs “Heart of Gold,” “Old Man” and “Rockin’ in the Free World.” In 1971, he played a solo acoustic concert at Massey Hall, later released as Live at Massey Hall 1971. The 1978 Rust Never Sleeps tour moved into arenas and used oversized amplifier props; its concert film was shot at the Cow Palace. He returned to loud electric touring with Crazy Horse for the 1991 Weld tour, then headlined Glastonbury Festival in 2009.
