NewDad are an Irish alternative rock band formed in Galway in 2018, fronted by singer and guitarist Julie Dawson. Their shoegaze guitars and dream-pop melodies first drew attention through “Blue,” followed by the EPs Waves and Banshee and the debut album Madra. In 2024, NewDad toured in support of Madra, moving into larger headline rooms across the UK and Ireland. The run included the Roundhouse in London and 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
