About Parquet Courts
Parquet Courts are an American rock band formed in New York City in 2010. Their taut mix of post-punk, garage rock and art punk is heard across albums including Light Up Gold, Sunbathing Animal, Human Performance and Wide Awake!, while “Stoned and Starving” and “Wide Awake” became signature songs.
In 2013, Parquet Courts played Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago during a long run of dates behind Light Up Gold. They took Sunbathing Animal to Glastonbury Festival the following year, returned to the road behind Wide Awake! in 2018 and 2019, and supported Sympathy for Life with further touring in 2021 and 2022.
The established live lineup is a four-piece: Andrew Savage and Austin Brown on guitars and vocals, Sean Yeaton on bass and Max Savage on drums. Their sets draw on the contrasting songs and vocal styles of Savage and Brown.
In New York, they have played both Bowery Ballroom and Brooklyn Steel. Their London concert history includes the Roundhouse.
