Pentatonix in Milwaukee

Pentatonix is an American a cappella pop group formed in Arlington, Texas, in 2011. They won the third season of NBC’s The Sing-Off and became known for close-harmony arrangements, vocal percussion and songs including their Daft Punk medley, “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Hallelujah.” Their releases include the self-titled album Pentatonix and A Pentatonix Christmas. The 2015 On My Way Home Tour was documented in a concert film. The Pentatonix World Tour began the following year, and Pentatonix: The World Tour followed in 2019; Rachel Platten opened its North American dates. The group returned to seasonal touring for the Evergreen Christmas Tour in 2021. A Pentatonix concert is built around five-part vocal arrangements, bass vocals and beatboxing, moving through original pop songs, covers, medleys and holiday material. Kevin Olusola’s cello-and-beatboxing technique, known as celloboxing, has also featured in the group’s stage work. Their concert history includes arena performances at Madison Square Garden in New York and amphitheatre dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
