About Periphery
Periphery is an American progressive metal band formed in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2005 by guitarist Misha Mansoor. The group helped establish the low-tuned, rhythmically intricate style known as djent, and its catalogue includes Periphery II, the paired concept albums Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega, Periphery III: Select Difficulty and Periphery IV: Hail Stan. “Scarlet,” “Marigold” and “Blood Eagle” are among its best-known songs.
The 2016 Sonic Unrest Tour took Periphery across North America with SikTh, Chon and Toothgrinder. In 2019, the band followed Periphery IV: Hail Stan with a North American headlining tour supported by Veil of Maya and Covet.
