Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer, born in Faisalabad in 1974, whose repertoire covers qawwali, Sufi music, ghazals and film songs. A nephew and student of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, he became widely known through songs including “Mann Ki Lagan,” “Jiya Dhadak Dhadak,” “Teri Ore” and “Sajda,” as well as his Coke Studio Pakistan recording of “Afreen Afreen” with Momina Mustehsan. As a teenager, he joined his uncle’s qawwali ensemble and performed on its international tours. In 2014, he sang at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo; three years later, The Tribute Tour marked the twentieth anniversary of his uncle’s death through arena concerts in Britain.
