About Rare Americans
Rare Americans are a Canadian-Slovak alternative-rock band formed in Vancouver in 2018 by brothers James and Jared Priestner and guitarist Lubo Ivan. Their songs combine rock, pop-punk and hip-hop, while animated videos give recurring characters their own storylines. “Brittle Bones Nicky” became their signature track, followed by songs including “Ryan & Dave” and “Cats, Dogs & Rats” and albums such as Rare Americans 2 and Jamesy Boy & the Screw Loose Zoo.
The Brittle Bones Nicky Tour took Rare Americans through North American and European club rooms in 2022. The band followed it with the You’re Not a Bad Person, It’s Just a Bad World Tour, then returned to clubs and theatres for the Human Animal Tour.
