About Re-TROS
Re-TROS is a Chinese post-punk band formed in Nanjing in 2003 and later based in Beijing. Led by vocalist and guitarist Hua Dong, the group is known for taut rhythms, angular guitars and electronic textures on releases including Cut Off! and Before the Applause, as well as the song “Pigs in the River.”
In 2017, Re-TROS opened for Depeche Mode on dates of the Global Spirit Tour. The band followed those arena appearances with a performance at Coachella in 2018.
