Rebirth Brass Band in Fort Collins

Rebirth Brass Band is an American brass band formed in New Orleans in 1983 by brothers Phil and Keith Frazier. It plays second-line brass-band music shaped by funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop rhythms. “Do Whatcha Wanna” and “I Feel Like Funkin’ It Up” became signature pieces, while Rebirth of New Orleans won the Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Music Album. In 1990, the band began a Tuesday-night residency at the Maple Leaf Bar, an engagement that lasted more than three decades. Beyond those club nights, it toured across the United States and abroad and repeatedly performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
