Richard Clayderman in Tel Aviv

Richard Clayderman is a French pianist born Philippe Pagès in Paris in 1953. He became known for the 1977 instrumental “Ballade pour Adeline,” written by Paul de Senneville, and for polished piano interpretations of pop songs, film themes and classical melodies. “A Comme Amour” and “Mariage d’Amour” are also closely associated with his repertoire. In 1979, he began performing internationally. He has since presented piano-led programmes in theatres and concert halls, often supported by an orchestra or ensemble and drawing on both signature pieces and familiar arrangements. He has returned repeatedly for concerts in China and Japan, including Beijing and Tokyo.
