Sutton Foster is an American actor, singer and dancer, born in 1975 in Statesboro, Georgia, and raised in Michigan. She is best known for her Broadway performances in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes, both of which earned her Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical. Her screen work includes Bunheads and Younger, while albums such as Wish and Take Me to the World draw on show tunes and American standards. In 2002, she originated the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Marquis Theatre. She led the 2011 Broadway revival of Anything Goes at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, and her cabaret work was documented on An Evening with Sutton Foster: Live at the Café Carlyle. She returned to Broadway in 2022 as Marian Paroo in The Music Man at the Winter Garden Theatre, opposite Hugh Jackman.
Kelli O'Hara is an American singer and actress, born in Oklahoma in 1976, whose work spans Broadway musicals, opera and concert performance. She is known for roles in The Light in the Piazza, South Pacific and The Bridges of Madison County, and she won a Tony Award for playing Anna Leonowens in The King and I. Her 2005 run in The Light in the Piazza at the Vivian Beaumont Theater began a long association with Lincoln Center Theater, and she returned to the same stage for South Pacific in 2008. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in The Merry Widow in 2014, then opened in The King and I on Broadway in 2015. After making her solo concert debut at Carnegie Hall in 2016, she reprised Anna Leonowens in the West End production of The King and I at the London Palladium in 2018.
