Shad is a Canadian rapper born in Kenya in 1982 and raised in London, Ontario. His thoughtful, wordplay-heavy writing is heard across albums including The Old Prince, TSOL, Flying Colours and A Short Story About a War. “The Old Prince Still Lives at Home” and “Rose Garden” are among his best-known tracks. Shad performed on the Vans Warped Tour in 2009, bringing his rap set to a festival associated largely with punk and alternative rock. He later toured clubs and theatres in Canada and abroad, while his festival appearances included Osheaga in Montreal.
