About Shortparis
Shortparis are a Russian experimental band formed in Saint Petersburg in 2012. Their music draws on post-punk, electronic music and avant-pop, while the songs «Страшно», «Стыд» and «Говорит Москва» are central to their catalogue. Their albums include «Пасха», «Так закалялась сталь» and «Яблонный сад».
In 2018, Shortparis recorded a full-band session for KEXP in Seattle. Their concerts use choreographed movement and theatrical action alongside vocals, percussion, guitar and electronics, a format they brought to Glastonbury Festival in 2019.
