Slapshot are an American hardcore punk band formed in Boston in 1985 by vocalist Jack “Choke” Kelly. Their fast, confrontational take on Boston hardcore and straight-edge themes is captured on releases including Back on the Map, Step On It and Sudden Death Overtime. The concert album Live at SO36 documents Slapshot at the Berlin club during their long history of touring Europe and North America. After nearly four decades of live work, the band played its announced final concert on November 23, 2024, at Roadrunner in Boston.
