About Sleep
Sleep is an American doom and stoner metal band formed in San Jose, California, in 1990. The band is known for the album Sleep’s Holy Mountain and its song “Dragonaut,” the hour-long composition Dopesmoker, and the 2018 album The Sciences.
In 2009, Sleep reunited for two All Tomorrow’s Parties performances in Minehead, returning material from Holy Mountain and Dopesmoker to the stage after more than a decade apart. A US tour followed in 2010, and the group later supported The Sciences with dates in North America and Europe.
Sleep has performed at Roadburn in Tilburg and Desertfest in London.
