About Soviet Soviet
Soviet Soviet are an Italian post-punk trio formed in Pesaro in 2008. The band plays tense, rhythm-driven guitar music shaped by prominent bass lines and coldwave textures, and is known for the albums Fate and Endless.
During the 2010s, Soviet Soviet toured clubs and festivals across Europe and North America as a guitar, bass and drums trio. A trip to play unofficial showcases around SXSW in 2017 ended before the group could perform, when US border officials detained the musicians on arrival and sent them back to Italy, cancelling their planned appearances in Austin.
