Spear Of Destiny in Leicester

Spear Of Destiny are a British post-punk band formed in London in 1983 by singer and guitarist Kirk Brandon and bassist Stan Stammers after Theatre of Hate. Their early catalogue includes the albums The Grapes of Wrath, One Eyed Jacks and World Service, while “Never Take Me Alive” from Outland became one of their best-known songs. A 1985 concert at the Lyceum in London was preserved on the live release Live at the Lyceum 1985, documenting the band during the World Service period. Spear Of Destiny later returned to sustained UK touring under Kirk Brandon, playing clubs and theatres as well as Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
