Speedy J in Amsterdam

Speedy J is the recording name of Dutch electronic musician and producer Jochem Paap, who was born in Rotterdam. He became known through early techno tracks such as “Pullover” and albums including Ginger, G Spot, Public Energy No. 1 and Loudboxer, moving between ambient electronics, experimental work and hard-edged techno. The Collabs 3000 project brought Speedy J and Chris Liebing together for live performances following their album Metalism. He later established STOOR Live, an improvised hardware-based format presented at Paradiso during Amsterdam Dance Event, where several electronic musicians build a continuous performance together. His appearances include the club floor at Berghain and the industrial hall of the Gashouder for Awakenings.
