Steve Forbert in Three Oaks

Steve Forbert is an American singer-songwriter born in Meridian, Mississippi, in 1954, known for folk-rock and pop songs carried by his voice, guitar and harmonica. His signature song, “Romeo’s Tune,” appeared on the album Jackrabbit Slim; his debut, Alive on Arrival, included “Goin’ Down to Laurel” and “What Kinda Guy?” In 1976, Steve Forbert moved to New York, where he busked in Grand Central Terminal and played CBGB and Folk City before making his first album. Steve Forbert later toured both with backing bands and alone on guitar and harmonica.
