Steve Norman in Berlin

Steve Norman is a British musician, born in London in 1960, and a founding member of the new wave band Spandau Ballet. Originally the group’s guitarist, he also became its saxophonist and percussionist; his best-known recorded contribution is the saxophone passage in “True,” part of a catalogue that also includes “Gold” and “Through the Barricades.” Spandau Ballet performed at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985. After reuniting, the band returned to arenas on the 2009 Reformation Tour, which brought them to London’s O2 Arena. In his later solo concerts, Steve Norman led a full band through material from the Spandau Ballet catalogue.
