Sweet Baboo is the recording name of Welsh singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Stephen Black, a North Wales native based in Cardiff. His folk-rooted indie pop is represented by albums including Ships, The Boombox Ballads and Wild Imagination, and songs such as “Let’s Go Swimming Wild” and “Bounce.”

Sweet Baboo toured Britain behind Ships and The Boombox Ballads, performing in clubs, arts centres and at festivals. Stephen Black also toured as a musician with Cate Le Bon and Gruff Rhys, while his own festival appearances included Green Man and End of the Road.
