T.G. Sheppard in Bloomington

T.G. Sheppard is an American country singer born in Humboldt, Tennessee, in 1944. He became a familiar voice in country music during the 1970s and 1980s through songs including “Devil in the Bottle,” “Do You Wanna Go to Heaven,” “I Loved ’Em Every One,” “Party Time” and “Last Cheater’s Waltz.” His recordings move between traditional country storytelling and the polished country-pop sound of that period. After “Devil in the Bottle” became his first major country hit, T.G. Sheppard spent decades touring theatres, fairs and casinos, and his concert history includes appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. Later performances have paired him with his wife and recording partner Kelly Lang, presenting songs from their individual catalogs as well as their duets.
