Tashi Dorji is a Bhutanese-born guitarist and improviser based in Asheville, North Carolina. He creates experimental music on acoustic and electric guitar, using free improvisation, fragmented melodies and percussive techniques. His solo catalogue includes the album Stateless, while his collaborative work reaches into free jazz and electroacoustic music. Tashi Dorji has toured as a solo guitarist and in improvising ensembles. His live projects include Manas, a duo with drummer Thom Nguyen, and Kuzu, a trio featuring saxophonist Dave Rempis and drummer Tyler Damon.
