Ten Years After in Enschede

Ten Years After are a British blues-rock band formed in Nottingham in 1966 by Alvin Lee, Leo Lyons, Ric Lee and Chick Churchill. Alvin Lee’s rapid guitar work became central to the group’s sound, heard on albums including Ssssh, Cricklewood Green and A Space in Time. Their best-known songs include “I’m Going Home,” “Love Like a Man” and “I’d Love to Change the World.” Woodstock in 1969 gave Ten Years After their best-known live document when “I’m Going Home” appeared in the festival film. The band followed that appearance with another major festival performance at the Isle of Wight in 1970, while sustained touring took them through theatres and arenas in Britain, Europe and the United States. After separating in the 1970s, the original quartet reunited for a performance at Reading Festival in 1983.
