The Beloved are a British electronic pop group formed in London in 1983. Initially a post-punk band, they moved toward synth-pop and dance music under Jon Marsh, becoming known for “The Sun Rising,” “Hello” and “Sweet Harmony,” as well as the albums Happiness and Conscience. During the 1980s, The Beloved toured as a four-piece and supported New Order. Their move into electronic dance music preceded an appearance at Glastonbury Festival in 1990.
