About The Mystery Lights
The Mystery Lights are an American garage-rock band formed in Salinas, California, by singer and guitarist Mike Brandon and guitarist Luis Alfonso, later settling in New York City. They became the first band signed to Wick Records, the rock imprint of Daptone Records. Their self-titled 2016 album and its follow-up, Too Much Tension!, include songs such as “Follow Me Home,” “Too Many Girls” and “Someone Else Is in Control.”
The band toured North America and Europe after the 2016 album, playing clubs and festivals. KEXP documented that period in a filmed studio performance featuring “Follow Me Home,” “Too Many Girls” and other songs in Seattle.
