About The Prids
The Prids are an American post-punk band formed in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1995 and later based in Portland, Oregon. Guitarist and vocalist David Frederickson and bassist and vocalist Mistina La Fave shaped the group’s layered sound, which also draws on shoegaze and new wave. Their albums include Love Zero, ...Until the World Is Beautiful, Chronosynclastic and Do I Look Like I'm in Love?
The Prids toured U.S. clubs repeatedly during the 2000s, performing their guitar-driven material as a full band. A serious van crash in California interrupted a 2008 tour and kept the group off the road while its members recovered.
