The Smith Street Band in Brunswick East

The Smith Street Band are an Australian punk rock band formed in Melbourne in 2010, led by singer and songwriter Wil Wagner. Their music draws on folk punk and indie rock, and they are known for songs including “Young Drunk” and “Death to the Lads” and albums such as Throw Me in the River and More Scared of You Than You Are of Me. Touring behind Throw Me in the River took the band through Australia, Europe and North America, including appearances at Reading and Leeds Festivals. Their Australian headline shows were later documented on the concert album Live at The Triffid, recorded at Brisbane’s The Triffid.
