About The Tams
The Tams are an American vocal group formed in Atlanta in 1960, known for soul, R&B and the dance-oriented Carolina beach-music sound. Their signature recordings include “What Kind of Fool (Do You Think I Am),” “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” and “Hey Girl Don’t Bother Me.”
During their 1960s hit years, The Tams toured the American R&B circuit as a vocal group. In later decades, they made the Carolina beach-music circuit a central part of their live work, performing at festivals and dance events in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
