The Twilight Sad are a Scottish indie-rock band formed in Kilsyth in 2003. Led by vocalist James Graham and guitarist Andy MacFarlane, they play post-punk and shoegaze-shaped rock and are known for albums including Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters, Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave and It Won/t Be Like This All the Time, as well as songs such as “That Summer, at Home I Had Become the Invisible Boy” and “There’s a Girl in the Corner.” In 2016, The Twilight Sad opened for The Cure on extensive North American and European arena dates. The Cure later invited them onto the Shows of a Lost World tour in 2023, extending a live association that placed the band before arena audiences across another major run. Their festival history includes SXSW in Austin and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
