The Whitest Boy Alive in Copenhagen

The Whitest Boy Alive are a German-Norwegian indie-pop band formed in Berlin in 2003 by Erlend Øye and Marcin Öz. The project developed into a four-piece playing spare, dance-oriented guitar music, heard on the albums Dreams, Rules and Serious. Their best-known songs include “Burning,” “Golden Cage” and “1517.” In 2009, the band performed at Coachella during the touring cycle for Rules. They stopped playing together in 2014, then returned for concerts in Mexico in 2017 and later performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona in 2019.
