About Tommy Tiernan
Tommy Tiernan is an Irish stand-up comedian, actor and television host, born in Carndonagh, County Donegal, in 1969. His comedy is known for extended storytelling and improvisation, while his screen work includes playing Gerry Quinn in Derry Girls and hosting The Tommy Tiernan Show.
At the 1998 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he received the Perrier Comedy Award for his stand-up. In 2009, he staged a marathon performance at Nuns’ Island in Galway that set a Guinness World Record for the longest individual stand-up show. Paddy Crazy Horse and Tomfoolery subsequently toured theatres in Ireland, Britain, the United States and Canada.
