TTNG are an English math-rock band formed in Oxford in 2004, originally billed as This Town Needs Guns. They are known for interlocking clean-tone guitars, irregular time signatures and melodic vocals. The 2008 album Animals includes “If I Sit Still, Maybe I’ll Get Out of Here” and “Baboon”; later releases include 13.0.0.0.0 and Disappointment Island. The Animals tenth-anniversary concerts reunited TTNG with original vocalist Stuart Smith for performances of the album in full. The band have also taken their tightly arranged full-band set to ArcTanGent.
