We Are Scientists are an American indie-rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 2000. Centered on vocalist and guitarist Keith Murray and bassist Chris Cain, they became known through the album With Love and Squalor and songs including “Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt,” “The Great Escape” and “After Hours.” In 2006, We Are Scientists toured Britain on the NME Awards Tour alongside Arctic Monkeys, Maxïmo Park and Mystery Jets. That summer they played the Reading and Leeds festivals, followed later that year by a headline show at Brixton Academy in London.
