About Weval
Weval are a Dutch electronic duo based in Amsterdam, formed by Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers. Their music moves through downtempo electronics, techno and melodic club rhythms; the albums Weval, The Weight and Remember include tracks such as “Gimme Some,” “Someday” and “Changed for the Better.”
A KEXP session recorded at Kex Hostel during Iceland Airwaves documented the duo performing with an expanded live band. Weval later brought that format to festival stages including Lowlands and Primavera Sound.
