Xand Avião in Brasília

Xand Avião is a Brazilian forró singer from Itaú, Rio Grande do Norte. He became known as the male lead vocalist of Aviões do Forró, joining the group at its formation in 2002, and began performing under his own name after the band ended. His solo repertoire includes “Casal Raiz,” “Inquilina” and “Balanço da Rede.” In 2018, he recorded the concert project Xand Errejota at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The arena recording marked the start of his solo live catalogue, after which he took that repertoire to large concert halls, carnival celebrations and Brazil’s June festival circuit. Aviões Fantasy is his recurring costume-themed event in Fortaleza. During the June season, he has also performed at O Maior São João do Mundo in Campina Grande and São João de Caruaru.
