About Yu Takahashi
Yu Takahashi is a Japanese singer-songwriter, born in 1983 and raised in Yokote, Akita Prefecture, who performs pop-rock built around voice and guitar. He made his major-label debut with “Subarashiki Nichijō” and is known for songs including “Fukuwarai” and “Ashita wa Kitto Ii Hi ni Naru.”
In 2013, he headlined Nippon Budokan, bringing his singer-songwriter catalogue to a Tokyo arena. He launched the traveling prefectural festival Akita Caravan Music Fes in 2016, moving the event among municipalities in his home region.
