About 5 a Seco
5 a Seco is a Brazilian singer-songwriter quintet formed in São Paulo by Pedro Altério, Leo Bianchini, Tó Brandileone, Pedro Viáfora and Vinicius Calderoni. The group plays contemporary MPB shaped by close vocal harmonies and acoustic arrangements, and is known for songs including “Pra Você Dar o Nome” and “Em Paz” and the albums Policromo and Síntese.
The group recorded its first album and concert film, 5 a Seco ao Vivo, at Auditório Ibirapuera, joined by guests including Lenine, Chico César and Maria Gadú. A decade of collective performances led to the anniversary tour 10 Anos, after which the five musicians announced a pause in the group’s work.
