About 5 Seconds of Summer
5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop-rock band formed in Sydney in 2011. Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin first became widely known through “She Looks So Perfect” and their self-titled debut album; later releases include Sounds Good Feels Good, Youngblood and CALM, led by songs such as “Youngblood” and “Teeth.”
In 2013, 5 Seconds of Summer joined One Direction’s Take Me Home Tour, then supported them again on the Where We Are Tour in 2014. The band mounted its own arena run, Rock Out with Your Socks Out, in 2015, followed by Sounds Live Feels Live in 2016. Later headline runs included the Meet You There Tour and the Take My Hand World Tour.
The concert format is a four-piece band: Hemmings and Clifford play guitar, Hood plays bass, and Irwin plays drums, while all four contribute vocals.
The band has repeatedly headlined in Australia and toured the United Kingdom and the United States.
