A.R. Rahman is an Indian composer, singer and record producer, born in Chennai in 1967. His music draws on Indian classical traditions, electronic music and pop songwriting. He is known for the scores to Roja, Bombay, Dil Se.., Lagaan and Slumdog Millionaire, whose score and song “Jai Ho” earned him Academy Awards. In 2003, A.R. Rahman toured Asia, Europe and North America with the Unity of Light World Tour. He followed it in 2010 with Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour, performing his film repertoire in arenas. The 2017 concert Netru Indru Naalai marked 25 years since Roja at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
