About A-Trak
A-Trak is a Canadian DJ, producer and turntablist born Alain Macklovitch in Montreal in 1982. He won the DMC World DJ Championship as a teenager, later co-founded Fool’s Gold Records and formed Duck Sauce with Armand Van Helden. His best-known recordings include the remix of Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll” and Duck Sauce’s “Barbra Streisand.”
Kanye West recruited A-Trak as his tour DJ in 2004, leading to appearances on the Touch the Sky Tour and the arena-scale Glow in the Dark Tour. He later presented his own DJ sets and performed with Armand Van Helden as Duck Sauce.
He performed at Coachella under his own name and with the duo, and he also played the recurring Fool’s Gold Day Off parties in New York.
