AC/DC are an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Bon Scott sang on Highway to Hell, while Brian Johnson joined for Back in Black after Scott’s death. Their best-known songs include “Thunderstruck,” “You Shook Me All Night Long” and “Highway to Hell.” The Back in Black Tour took the band through North America, Europe, Japan and Australia in 1980 and 1981. Their 1991 Monsters of Rock performance at Donington Park was filmed and released as Live at Donington. The Black Ice World Tour followed in 2008, and Axl Rose later completed the final dates of the Rock or Bust World Tour after Johnson was advised to stop performing because of hearing problems. AC/DC perform as a full electric rock band, led visually by Angus Young in his school uniform and his duckwalk. “Hells Bells” is introduced by a large bell, while “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” is accompanied by cannon salutes. Three 2009 concerts in Buenos Aires were filmed for Live at River Plate. In 2015, the band played Wembley Stadium in London.
The Pretty Reckless is an American hard-rock band formed in New York City in 2009 and fronted by singer Taylor Momsen. The group is known for songs including “Make Me Wanna Die,” “Heaven Knows” and “Death by Rock and Roll,” and for the albums Light Me Up and Going to Hell. In 2011, the band supported Evanescence on tour. The Pretty Reckless launched the Going to Hell Tour in 2013, then opened for Soundgarden on its 2017 North American run, including the group’s final concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
