Adonis in Jeddah

Adonis is an American producer from Chicago whose sparse, hard-edged house tracks helped shape the early acid-house sound. He is best known for “No Way Back,” built around a stark bass sequence and the repeated vocal command “Too far gone, ain’t no way back,” as well as “We’re Rockin Down the House.” Adonis performed at Panorama Bar in Berlin, bringing his early Chicago house records into a club setting. Boiler Room also broadcast his set at Dekmantel Festival.
