Agnes Obel in Melbourne

Agnes Obel is a Danish singer-songwriter, pianist and producer, born in Copenhagen in 1980. Her chamber pop is built around piano, layered vocals and strings. Her 2010 debut album, Philharmonics, introduced “Riverside”; later recordings include Aventine, featuring “The Curse” and “Fuel to Fire,” Citizen of Glass, featuring “Familiar,” and Myopia. The Citizen of Glass tour was documented on the 2018 concert album Live in Europe, drawn from performances across the tour. Those concerts presented Agnes Obel on piano and vocals as part of a string-led ensemble. Later Myopia tour performances took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Philharmonie de Paris.
