Aida Cuevas is a Mexican singer born in Mexico City in 1963 who performs ranchera, mariachi and bolero music. She is known for her interpretation of “El Pastor” and for recording the songs of Juan Gabriel and José Alfredo Jiménez. Her album Arrieros Somos: Sesiones Acústicas received a Grammy Award. Her concert history includes appearances at Auditorio Nacional, Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl. The 45th-anniversary Yo Creo Que Es Tiempo program later toured performing-arts centers in the United States, where she sang with Mariachi Aztlán.
