AJJ in Milwaukee

AJJ is an American folk-punk band formed in Phoenix in 2004 by singer-guitarist Sean Bonnette and bassist Ben Gallaty. Originally billed as Andrew Jackson Jihad, the group adopted AJJ as its official name in 2016. Its acoustic folk-punk and indie rock carry blunt, darkly comic lyrics across albums including People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World, Knife Man and Christmas Island. The catalog also includes “Brave as a Noun,” “Rejoice” and “Body Terror Song.” AJJ toured clubs extensively after Knife Man and performed on the Vans Warped Tour in 2014 during the release cycle for Christmas Island. The band recorded a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR’s Washington, D.C. offices in 2015. Later headline tours supporting The Bible 2 and Disposable Everything retained the full-band format led by Sean Bonnette.
