About Alabama Shakes
Alabama Shakes are an American rock and soul band formed in Athens, Alabama, in 2009 and led by singer and guitarist Brittany Howard. Their debut album, Boys & Girls, introduced the songs “Hold On” and “I Found You,” while Sound & Color expanded their sound through tracks including “Don’t Wanna Fight” and its title song.
The 2012 touring cycle for Boys & Girls took the band into theatres and major festivals, including Bonnaroo. Touring behind Sound & Color brought them to Coachella and the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2015.
